EKKAMAI Night Course

The soi stays open. Come back when you need it.

Why EKKAMAI, why now

Ekkamai draws a younger crowd through concept stores, co-working cafes, and experimental brewing spots. The neighborhood runs on its own clock, separate from the tourist list.

1. Mamao BKK

Mamao opens the course because dinner here decides what the rest of the night looks like. The first floor runs as a proper restaurant, the second floor shifts the mood. You start when you're ready, not when a reservation tells you to.

2. Rintaro Bangkok

Rintaro closes the route when the soi has already quieted down. Gelato made fresh daily, Japanese-style, with enough flavors that you can pick without thinking. The course ends here because there's no reason to move after the last bite.

The chairs sit empty. No line here.

The walk between

The walk between them follows the soi as it empties out. You'll pass the co-working cafes closing up, a few concept stores with lights still on.

  • Start Mamao on the first floor if you want a meal, second floor if you want the DJ and the vibe to carry the evening.
  • Rintaro has two tables out front, but most people take their gelato to go. Come here after you've already decided the night is over.

คำถามที่พบบ่อย

Does Mamao need a reservation, or can I walk in?
The reviews mention spacious seating across two floors and plenty of room, so walk-ins seem to work. That said, if you're planning for a weekend night when the DJ is spinning, earlier is safer.
Is Rintaro's gelato worth the price?
Multiple visitors flag the price as high but justify it with daily-made gelato, real fruit, and Japanese technique. The shop is small, so if presentation and flavor depth matter to you, the cost makes sense.
